About Warli Art

Warli art is a traditional
tribal art form from Maharashtra, India, dating back to 2500 BCE. It is known for its minimalistic style, using simple geometric shapes to depict rural life scenes such as farming, hunting, and dancing. Originally painted on village
walls with a mixture of rice paste on a brown background, Warli art emphasizes the harmony between humans and nature.

This ancient art form conveys the Warli tribe's values and traditions through visual storytelling. Its simplistic, doodle-like aesthetic has gained international recognition and resonates with contemporary design trends. Warli art's
adaptability allows it to be seamlessly integrated into modern decor and fashion, adding a touch of cultural heritage to everyday items while celebrating India's rich artistic traditions.

Through our re:vive initiative, we are committed to reintroducing art forms and cultural elements from across the world that sustain the livelihood of communities.

25% of the course fees per participant will be donated to the Warli tribe in Maharashtra, India to sustain their livelihoods.
