A mandala, which translates to a circle, is a configuration of symmetric geometric symbols. They have a significant mention in various Eastern religions and philosophies. And yet, Mandalas transcend religious and cultural boundaries. Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist, Carl Jung refers to Mandalas as the graphical representation of the inner self. Its therapeutic nature is proven to have numerous positive effects on the functions of the mind. They help in disengaging from negative emotions such as stress and anxiety. Some studies also suggest that painting Mandalas can help reduce blood pressure. Thus, boosting the immune system. It is no surprise that painting Mandalas is considered an alternative to meditation.

No previous art experience is required for this activity.

Event Flow

I. You will be introduced to color therapy 

II. This will be followed by your immersive Mandala painting session with an MDF Mandala that you can take home as a reminder of inner peace in your room. 

III. You will be painting your Mandala with Acrylic paints and a paintbrush. All supplies will be provided by us. 

This will be a 2-hour long session. If you need more time to complete your Mandala, you can come back for our Open Art Studio

Meet Your Host

Parampara will be your host for the session, guiding you with the basics of Color Therapy and helping you settle into the zen mode with a self-check-in activity. This will get you ease into the immersive process of painting your Mandala.
